Meet Brad Gregson: The newest member of the Mola Dental team

Meet Brad Gregson - New Dentist at Mola Dental Sheffield

We’d like to extend a huge welcome to dentist Brad Gregson, who has recently joined the Mola Dental team.

Brad grew up in the northwest town of Wigan, before spending seven years studying two degrees in Liverpool – firstly Biomedical Science, and then Graduate Dentistry.

In order to get to know Brad a little better, Mola Dental Owner and Clinical Director Dr Chetan ‘Chet’ Mistry recently sat down with him for a quick Q&A…

Now let’s start with the most important question. What brought you to Mola Dental?

“Having met the Mola Dental team on Zoom (like anyone else in 2020), I was instantly impressed with their friendly and down to earth personality! Fast forward a year and I’ve been lucky enough to join the practice, travelling from Manchester once a week to get involved with you and the team.”

Why did you study dentistry?

“I’m not sure why dentistry. My parent’s joke that I just enjoyed the summer University holidays, having been able to go to Bali, Colombia, Miami, and Glastonbury during my time off! But if I had to put my finger on it, it would be the ‘treating people’ aspect. I’m a very sociable person and enjoy meeting new people every day.”

What are your clinical interests?

“Since lockdown 2020, I have trained in short term Orthodontics, using Invisalign Clear Aligners. Having enjoyed it so much, I am now studying to complete my diploma in Clear Aligners.

I also have been practising in Smile Design and using such to complete Composite Bonding Cases. I feel like this works well with my Invisalign cases, and I look forward to providing the finishing touches to patients’ newly straightened teeth.”

Do you have any interests outside of dentistry?

“I trained in facial aesthetics at Skin Viva Manchester, learning Dr Tim Pearce’s techniques for Botulinum Toxins and Dermal Fillers! But outside of clinic, I am a big sports fan. I play for a Saturday men’s football team in Manchester and play golf in my spare time.”

Finally, what’s your top tip for healthy teeth and gums?

(Singing in the tune of King of the Road by Roger Miller)

“Take care when on the sweets,
knowing how many you should eat.
Make sure you don’t brush too hard,
at least 2 minutes and take regard.
No Sprite, no Fanta, no Coca Cola,
or you’ll be seeing Brad from Mola.
Take care when flossing teeth,
and you’ll be king of the gums!”

Thanks, Brad – I didn’t ask for a song but whilst you’re on the subject, what’s your favourite karaoke song?

“Sean Kingston – Beautiful Girls… I’ll show you on the Christmas do!”
